It is very rewarding to me to physically see something produced and the sense of pride of turning over a project that was built as promised is what drew me to this industry and what keeps me here.
I have been lucky to build many different types of buildings, but the most enjoyable is any project that has impact on our community. Sunday morning in front of a few thousand people handing over the keys to a new church or expansion of their learning center… as far as my business life, it doesn’t get much better.
Engr. Wilford is the CEO and founder of Wilford Engineering Company LLC with it head office in San Jose, California. Haven worked with Turner Construction Company as Quality Control officer, Procurement Officer, Project Manager and Project Supervisor for 16 year, he decided to set up Wilford Engineering Company in other to leverage on his professional qualifications, experience and the advanced construction innovative ideas acquired while working with Turner.
As a Civil Engineer and general contractor, he understands that construction is more than simply following drawings and making sure a structure is up to code. At Wilford Engineering Company, we believe in making your dreams and vision come to life through putting details first and as important as the end result. Wilford is an Italian/American who holds B.Sc, M.Sc. and MBA degrees in civil engineering from the University of Milan and National American University respectively.
Engr. Wilford is a registered professional civil engineer in California and has more than 21 years of experience in geo-technical engineering and general construction. His experience has a strong focus on fast track, design/building projects in which he has complete project responsibilities to include preparation of proposals, contracts, cost estimates, generation of project schedules, awarding subcontracts, oversight/supervision of project sites and office/engineering personnel. He is also trained and certified in construction safety and quality control programs.
Engr. Wilford‘s experience also includes the project plans drawing and remodeling, structural design of reinforced concrete, steel, and wood buildings, bridge, design of water drainage and sewer utility conveyance systems, design of commercial and residential buildings, hydraulic and hydro-logical modeling, and the design of railways. He has also served as an expert witness on construction accident litigation and contractor standard of care assignments, as well as complex construction disputes.
Additionally, he has investigated building settlement and collapse, fire, snow, earthquake, and wind damage evaluations, concrete failure analysis, concrete and masonry cracking, retaining wall and bulkhead distress, joist and truss failures, construction vibration analysis and monitoring, underground utility failures, moisture intrusion through building envelopes, roofing system failures, and tile floor failures.
It was virtually fun from the beginning working with Wilford Engineering provided a professional and reliable service every step on the way. The project was delivered, demonstrating a determination to deliver our new warehouse and office space to the highest standard. The finished work speaks for itself and we would surely love to recommend them
